From Checklist To Presence Daylong Retreat
September 27 | 10am–4pm | Sit.Feel.Heal. Center
Do you ever catch yourself turning your spiritual practice into a to-do list?
Did I meditate today? Did I do it right? I don’t do it enough. I can’t even breathe right!
It’s sneaky how fast mindfulness can become another performance. Another thing to get right.
But the real practice isn’t about checking the boxes.
It’s about being here. With what’s here. And meeting yourself right where you are within this messy ass human experience.
This daylong retreat is a chance to return to presence.
To slow down.
To feel.
To rest.
not perform but to welcome yourself back home.
Through guided meditation, reflection, shared experience and grounded conversation, we’ll explore what it means to meet ourselves—not to fix or improve—but to witness with care.
We’ll explore simple and effective mindfulness practices that help us crate a "container of presence."
A container that supports and encourages emotional honesty and understanding, nervous system regulation and real-life integration.
No “magic”. No pressure. Just a space to arrive and rest in the goodness that is you.
You are the container, not the contained.
Whether your practice feels steady or scattered, soft or gritty—you’re not doing it wrong.
You’re already on the path.
Come spend the day remembering what that feels like.
And I bet you’ll find that you are doing better than you could even imagine. Definitely better than what your mind is telling you.
What to Expect:
Permission to show up just as you are
Guided meditations and periods of quiet
Gentle, optional movement
Personal practice reflections and inspiration led by me (Joe)
Practices rooted in mindfulness and true-self discovery (Recovery)
Space to name what’s here and to validate your experience
Group sharing (optional, invitational)
Permission to settle, Rest, soften, and reconnect
All are welcome. No experience needed.
Come as you are.
